Description
Why these two, first
If you buy nothing else, a pair of adjustable dumbbells and a good bench cover pressing, rowing, split squats, hinges, curls and every accessory movement worth doing. That is four of the five things most training programmes are made of. The fifth is a heavy squat, which needs a rack — and a rack is the right third purchase, not the first, because it is useless without the other two.
What this does not include
No barbell, no plates, no rack. That is deliberate. Plenty of people train productively for a year on this kit alone in about twelve square feet, and adding a rack later is easy. Buying a rack first and discovering you have nowhere to press is not.
Space and shipping
The bench rolls on rear wheels and stands upright against a wall; the dumbbells live in their cradle. Both ship as separate parcels and may arrive a day or two apart.
